Appeal For Support: 19 -year-Old Sickle Cell Patient appeals for support to undergo surgery

Alphonso Faatah Theresa, a nineteen ( 19) year old sickle cell patient from Takpo in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region needs Ghc 2,000 to undergo a grafting surgery scheduled at the Upper West Regional Hospital.

Theresa Faatah is also a year two student at the Wa Technical Institute, but has spent most her time at the hospital due to a bad sore on her leg coupled with her sickle cell condition.

Her mother, who is a single mother of five children took her to several hospitals and finally she was admitted at Upper west Regional Hospital.

Doctors initially advised to amputate the leg, but the procedure was left due to her failure to meet the cost of ( Ghs5,000) involved.

The Doctor however, have now resorted to do a grafting surgery which will cost Ghs 2000.

The family is therefore appealing to the public to come to her aid in raising the said amount to save the girl since her single mother of five can not raise it alone.
