Wa West, September 11, 2024 – Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West Constituency, has donated GHC 20,000 to support the renovation of the Dabo Health Center’s old structure into a maternity ward. The donation aims to improve healthcare delivery, especially for pregnant women in the area.

The Dabo Community had initiated the renovation project to expand maternal healthcare services, but the structure was in a deplorable state, making healthcare delivery challenging. The MP’s support comes after an appeal from the Chiefs and people of the Community to solicit resources to complete the project.

Hon. Toobu has consistently supported healthcare services in the Constituency, and this donation demonstrates his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents. The Chiefs and people of the Community expressed their gratitude and wished him long life and a long term in office to continue supporting them.

The donation was announced during a health durbar organized by the Community at Dabo, where Hon. Toobu also celebrated filling his nomination forms for re-election in the 2024 general elections. His support for healthcare and constituents has earned him appreciation and goodwill in the Wa West Constituency.
