 Upper West: MTN Ghana Supports Annual Dumba Festival with Massive  Donation

MTN Ghana has demonstrated its commitment to cultural development and community engagement by donating GHS 10,000 worth of airtime credits and assorted beverages to support the 2024 Dumba Festival in the Waala Traditional Area.

Seth Nyameke, Regional Manager of MTN Ghana, made the presentation on behalf of the telecom giant to Ibrahim Saaka, Chairman of the 2024 Dumba Committee. The donation was received on behalf of Naa Seidu Fuseini Pelpuo, the Paramount Chief of Wa.

This gesture underscores MTN Ghana’s dedication to promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and fostering community development. The Dumba Festival, a significant event in the region, celebrates the area’s history, traditions, and customs.

MTN Ghana’s support will enable the festival organizers to effectively communicate and coordinate activities, while also providing refreshments for participants and attendees.

“We are proud to support the Dumba Festival, which showcases the rich cultural diversity of the Waala Traditional Area,” said Seth Nyameke. “MTN Ghana remains committed to contributing to the development of local communities and preserving Ghana’s cultural identity.”
