 MTN Ghana Extends Support For Kobinne Festival With GHS15K

MTN Ghana has once again demonstrated its commitment to cultural development and community engagement by donating GHS15,000 to the Lawra Traditional Council in support of the 2024 Kobinne Festival. This generous annual donation confirms MTN Ghana’s linkage to the cultural preservation and social coexistence for decades.

The telecommunications giants extended their annual donations into the eleventh straight year with the cool amount and assorted items.

Similar to their previous donation to the Dumba Festival in the Wa Municipality, MTN Ghana’s support will enable the Kobinne Festival organizers to effectively communicate and coordinate activities, provide refreshments for participants and attendees, and showcase the region’s history, traditions, and custom.

The donation was received by the Lawra Traditional Council on behalf of the Paramount Chief of Lawra by Naa Edwin Irekakpiel, the secretary to the Kobine Festival Planning committee.

MTN Ghana’s Upper West Regional Manager Mr.Seth Nyamekye, emphasized the company’s pride in supporting the Kobinne Festival, highlighting its significance in showcasing the cultural diversity of the Lawra Traditional Area.

Naa Edwin, who chairs the 2024 Kobine Planning Committee , celebrated the decade long relationship with MTN.

He stated , “We want to comment MTN for the partnership for the past eleven years. We are glad to have this partnership and we look forward to maintaining this partnership”.

On his part, the regional manager confirmed the readiness of his firm to Partner the Kobinne festival. He stated “We remain committed to contributing to the development of local communities and preserving Ghana’s cultural identity”.

This donation reinforces MTN Ghana’s commitment to supporting community initiatives and promoting cultural preservation.
