Upper West Regional Minister Hon Hafiz Bin Salih Celebrates Five Influential Ministers Ahead of Resumption Of Flight Operations
Upper West Regional Minister Honorable Hafiz Bin Salih has itemized five influential Ministers for their roles in the resumption of flight to the region.
Commercial activities were halted in the upper west region back in March 2020 with some human and mechanical obstacles hindering the smooth operations of flight in the region.
In his quest to restore flight activities to the region, Hon Hafiz Bin Salih initiated the restoration process with some Ministerial and stakeholder consultations led by five Ministers.
The Regional Minister identified Transport Minister, Hon Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Hon Ursula Owusu Ekefful, Minister of Interior, Hon Ambrose Derry.
The aforementioned Minister led the facilitation for the resumption of flight to the region with both the human obstacle and mechanical powers cleared.
The mechanical obstacles were led by a Vodafone tower and huge trees which have since been cleared to pave ways for the return of commercial flights to the region.
African World Airlines (AWA) are expected to make an official statement on when they will resume flight to the upper west region in the coming weeks.
