Renovation works have started at the Wa Malik Jabir Park, the Regional Sports facility of the Upper West Region.
This was revealed by Mr, Awudu Ishaq in an interview with Home Radio on Saturday, 30th July 2022.
According to him, the renovation of works is expected to begin on Saturday, July 30th after the contract was awarded to a contractor.
He added that the work is expected to be completed three weeks after commencement.
“As I’m speaking with you now, the contractor is expected to begin work today. The NSA brought their estimates at around GH 45,000 for the work and the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon. Alban Bagbin has approved for the VIP stands to be renovated ” – Awudu Ishaq
The facility which is the premiere recreational facility of the Upper West has been in a bad state over the few years.
The youth in the Region has made calls on numerous occasions for the facility to be given a facelift.
Mr Awudu Ishaq took the campaign to the speaker’s office leading to the grand renovation works at the facility.
