MTN Ghana Donates to Kobbine Festival, Supports Community Football Championship

Ghana’s largest telecommunications network MTN Ghana has donated an amount of GHC15,000 and assorted items to support the annual Kobbine Festival celebrated by the people of Lawra in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The support include credit cards worth one thousand Ghana Cedis and trophies for the annual football championship.

For nearly a decade, MTN Ghana has been a steadfast supporter of this festival, demonstrating its commitment to the local community. This year, MTN’s contribution has been remarkable, including generous donations and support for the community championship.

The gesture from MTN Ghana this year comprised a donation of fifteen thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC15,000) worth of airtime, along with an assortment of valuable items. This contribution not only adds to the festive spirit of the Kobbine Festival but also proves MTN’s dedication to uplifting the image of the highly revered festival.

Another highlights of MTN’s involvement in this year’s Kobbine Festival is its support for the community championship, where local talent gets a platform to showcase their skills and passion for sports. Naa Ngmenmaal Yobo III, the Kunyukuo Naa and chairman of the Kobbine Festival, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Lawra People for MTN’s continued support. Naa Ngmenmaal Yobo III acknowledged MTN Ghana for its consistent presence and commitment to the welfare of the community.

Collins Agyei, the Area Sales Manager for the five Northern regions, represented MTN Ghana and spoke at the event.
