The Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Hon. Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has this week disbursed financial support to several ongoing community development initiatives across his constituency. These interventions are aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure, health awareness, and community development.
The disbursements include:
- GHS 53,946.00 to facilitate mock examinations for 2026 BECE candidates in the Wa Municipality.
- GHS 30,000.00 for the completion of a new classroom block at Dobile Presby Primary School.
- GHS 10,000.00 to furnish the ICT laboratory at Fongo E/A JHS.
- GHS 10,000.00 for the roofing of the ICT block at NJA Basic School, damaged by a recent rainstorm.
- GHS 10,000.00 for the renovation of the ICT laboratory at T.I. Ahmadiyya Girls School.
- GHS 5,500.00 for the procurement of a polytank for Loggu Poro Community.
- GHS 5,000.00 to support communal activities during the Kuong Nyeabu Festival in Boli Community.
- GHS 10,000.00 to the Municipal Health Directorate to strengthen sensitization programmes addressing the recent meningitis outbreak.
In total, an estimated GHS 138,945.00 has been expended from the MP’s share of statutory funds to support these targeted projects, reflecting Hon. Dr. Pelpuo’s commitment to advancing educational opportunities, improving health outcomes, and fostering community development within the Wa Central Constituency.
