Health Way Foundation Donates GHC7000 To Madam Monica Saapiri To Help Acquire Prosthetic Hand

Upper West based Health Way Foundation has donated an amount of seven thousand Ghana Cedi to help acquire Prosthetic hand for Madam Monica Saapiri whose hand was amputated due to viral cancer.

The foundation, led by Madam Riyaana Hafiz Bin Salih, followed up on a plea from the family of the crocked Madam Monica Saapiri and fully funded the cost of acquiring and fixing the prosthetic hand.

The short donation ceremony, which was staged at the upper west regional hospital, saw Medical Director Dr Robert leading the facilitation process with some family members of the amputated Monica Saapiri.

Speaking briefly after the donation process, Madam Riyaana Hafiz Bin Salih, who doubles as the wife of the upper west regional Minister and the CEO of Health Way Foundation, heaped kind words on Dr Robert and his medical team.

“The people of upper west celebrate your hard work and creativity in running the facility. We appreciate every single sacrifice you and your team have been making to make this facility what it is today”, Madam Riyaana celebrated Dr Robert and his medical team.

She went further to explain the motive for their support.

” I heard of their plight and also consulted a number of our sponsors led by PW Ghanem and he agreed to absorb the full cost. So this morning we are making a donation of seven thousand Ghana Cedi for the entire cost of acquiring and fixing an artificial hand to enable her do basic life chores. We hope to bring smile back to her face once done”, the CEO added.

Health Way Foundation has executed a number of projects in the past since its inception in 2019 both to groups and at individual level.

The Foundation will make another donation to a breast cancer patient battling for her life.
