Ambitious Prince Kamal Gumah To Set Up NPP Youth Secretariat  In memory of Latif Solomon

A National Youth Organiser hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party Prince Kamal Gumah has pledged to establish a Youth Secretariat for the party in the Upper East region.

The office will be in Honor of the late Upper East Regional Youth Organiser of the party Latif Solomon.

Prince Kamal Gumah made this revelation in an interview on Dreamz FM. He bemoaned the lack of an organized and befitting space for meetings of the youth and also for the purposes of frantically addressing their concerns.

“I’m a grassroot person and I’m part of the youth. I’m not a commander and I don’t even like to be called a commander. Let’s come together and make a change. Nana Addo has done a lot for Ghana and the party and we can’t just sit down and let it go. My promise is to make sure that Latif’s legacy grows.

Currently in Upper East, we don’t have a youth secretariat. There is no office. Anytime I want to meet them, we either go to a restaurant or we go under a tree and that is unacceptable. I’m making this promise that I’m going to build a youth secretariat in honor of Latif so that the youth of this region will have a place that they can call their own,” he said.

He also pledged to support the party with means of transport to aid in movements and coordination of activities of the youth of the party.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, National and Regional Executives and hundreds of leading members of the New Patriotic Party on Sunday June 27, 2021 participated in the final funeral rites of the late regional youth leader of the party.

The Vice President in a short address said the late Latif Solomon dedicated his life to the service of the party and remained untamed in his desire and support to see the party win the 2020 elections at a time he was battling health conditions.

Dr Bawumia further disclosed that a fund would be setup by the party to support the family of Latif Solomon.
