Lawyer Wahid Bampuori donates to BECE candidates

BECE candidates who reside at Wa Islamic SHS and Wa SHS while sitting for their exams have been supported with items that will help them write the exams successfully.

Lawyer Wahid Iddrisu Bampuori, a former parliamentary candidate aspirant for Wa Central Constituency made the donation to complement the efforts of parents in taking care of the pupils in the course of the exam.

The items donated include packets of pens, packets of nose masks, tissue, bags of rice, assorted drinks and bags of sachet water.

Three bags of rice, 22 bags of sachet water, packets of pens and nose masks and assorted drinks were donated to schools at Wa Islamic SHS center

Speaking on behalf of the private legal practitioner at separate donations, Abu Imran Christopher said the donation was meant to motivate the candidates to pass their exams without any hindrance as the beneficiary pupils were from communities that are mostly deprived.

In a bid to encourage the students to excel in the exams, Lawyer Wahid pledged to reward pupils who will obtain distinction in at least four subject areas with a laptop.

He also pledged to implement an award scheme for teachers who accept posting to deprived communities within the Wa municipality which he said will bridge the gap between teachers in town and those in underprivileged areas.

A teacher at Busa M/A JHS, Mr Mahama Hamza expressed his appreciation to Lawyer Wahid for the kind gesture while pointing out that such donation was not anticipated upon the start of the exams.

The head teacher of Chegli Islamic JHS, Mr Pius Kwasi who spoke on behalf of the schools at Wasec described the donation as awesome and expressed desire to benefit from the teachers reward scheme set to be implemented by the private legal practitioner.

“We are promising him that our kids even though deprived, they are going to do well.”

One of the candidate by name Yahaya Ramadan from Charingu JHS applauded Lawyer Wahid for the donation while another pupil called Adamu Fatima indicated that they will score good grades to make Lawyer Wahid happy

Abdul Waris Karim from Busa M/A JHS assured to work hard towards wining the laptop with distinction in the four subject areas as promised by the Legal luminary.
