NPP Decides: 12 Aspirants To Battle For Parliamentary Candidature In Five (5) Constituencies In Upper West Region

The final phase of the NPP intra party poll heads into the home stretch with thirteen (13) aspirants bidding for the parliamentary candidature in five Constituencies in the Upper West Region.

The ruling NPP sorted its intra party polls into two stages with the orphan and incumbent seats scheduled at different dates.

Having already elected candidates for the six (6) orphaned seats in the region, the Party opened nominations for the incumbent seats with thirteen (13) aspirants bidding to pick the remaining five slots.

Only Nandom Constituency produced one candidate of the five (5) remaining seats whiles Wa East led the line with four (4) aspirants.

Hon. Ambrose Derry will head to the ballot in search of confirmation after finishing the screening process as the only candidate for the Nandom seat.

Hon. Anthony Abayifaa Karbo will have to shake off threat from Joseph Bilson Dontah at the party level.

In the Sissala land, Hon Ridwan Dauda Abass need to outwit the Deputy Regional Minister, Hon Issahaku Aminu Chinnia before thinking of the 2020 General Election.
