Wa Central: BECE candidates begin MP’s special Mock Exams

 

BECE candidates in the Wa Central Constituency have started special Mock examination sponsored by the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo. This is  to prepare the candidates for the September examination.

The mock exams started today 31st of August, 2020, and will last for 5 days, covering a total of 3,236 students comprising 1,491 boys and 1,745 girls from 64 and 16 public and private schools respectively.

The mock examination is organized and supervised by the Wa Municipal Education Directorate in collaboration with the Wa Central law maker.

Public Relations Officer(PRO) of the Wa Municipal Education Directorate, Suleyman Mujeeb revealed that the MP has been consistent in supporting the directorate over the past years.

“This has been within the municipality since 2012. We have been getting the support from our MP, he has actually been supporting the Municipality in writing these examinations, he said.

The PRO thanked the MP for supporting the Education Directorate to enhance the preparation of the students ahead of impending BECE.

He added that the mock will prepare the students very well for the task ahead indicating that the mock came at the right time.

Mr. Suleyman also revealed that the mock will cover only the five (5) core subjects namely English, Mathematics, Science, social studies and RME.

Mohammed Mumuni Tando on behalf of the MP, extended well wishes to all the BECE candidates and urged the Education Directorate to offer the best of guidance to the candidates to perform very well in the exams.

He added that the doors of the MP are open to supporting and improving education in the municipality.

WAEC has released the time table for the BECE examination which is expected to start on the14th-19th September, 2020.
