“We have an interior Minister and yet we don’t have a befitting police headquarters”- ACP Ndekugri

The Upper West Regional Police Commander, ACP Peter Ndekugri has expressed his frustration over lack of a befitting Regional Police headquarters.

He wondered why the region lacks a befitting Regional Police Command when the Interior Minister, Speaker of Parliament and other prominent personalities are natives of the region.

The Regional Police Commander made the comments during a meeting held by the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council on Thursday, 28th December, 2021 at the SEM-B lodge in Wa.

The RCC meeting was meant to review the performance of Municipal and District Assemblies and other departments to achieve the overall development of the region.

The Upper West Regional Police headquarters operates in the same premises with the Municipal Command for sometime now and the Regional Commander called for attention to be given to the regional headquarters.

He urged the Regional Minister together with the MMDCE’s to tour the regional police headquarters to familiarize themselves with it’s establishment.

“The region has two interior ministers, two IGP’s and the Speaker of Parliament and yet we don’t have a befitting Regional headquarters. Go round the country and see which regional headquarters is like this. I am making an appeal through the Regional Minister to take all MMDCE’s to have a look at the Regional headquarters whether it is befitting for a region where all the intellectuals, Doctors, Lawyers all come from.” the Commander reiterated
