The Balawa Bone Setting Center in Wa West District, Upper West Region, run by esteemed local Bone Setting Specialist Madam Kuori Batual, is seeking support from the government, NGOs, and benevolent organizations to improve its infrastructure. The center, which treats various degrees of fractures for patients from across the Upper West region and beyond, including Burkina Faso, is struggling to accommodate patients due to lack of facilities.
In an interview with Home Radio Network News on Sunday, September 8, Mr. Nong Dassah Clement, Madam Batual’s son and trained manager, highlighted the center’s humanitarian work and its limitations. Despite being located in a farming community, the center provides vital services, but struggles to provide temporary structures for patients due to the high demand.
Mr. Clement emphasized the center’s capabilities in treating patients, attributing its success to determination and divine mercy. He noted that the center collaborates with hospitals and specialists at regional and national levels to provide quality treatment. The Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service have also organized training sessions for him at prominent hospitals like Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Mr. Clement appealed to organizations and individuals to support the Balawa Bone Setting Center to improve patient conditions and enhance its humanitarian services.
