The Member of Parliament for Sissala West, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu, has strongly condemned the Upper West Regional Chairman, Regional Executives, and the Regional Minister for their decision to forcibly deduct 30% of the School Feeding Program allocations from every constituency. Describing the move as “selfish, unjust, and completely unacceptable,” Hon. Sukparu stated that Sissala West will resist this decision with every legitimate force available.
According to the MP, the selection of the most populated schools as the “regional share” is a calculated bias and a betrayal of the people who worked tirelessly to bring the government into power. He emphasized that Sissala West will not allow caterers imposed from the regional level to operate in the constituency, instead advocating for local caterers who are equally qualified.
Hon. Sukparu reminded the regional leaders that the people of Sissala West contributed significantly to the party’s victory during the elections and that denying them the benefits of the government would be an insult. He warned that he will not rest until this injustice is reversed and threatened firm resistance if the decision is not overturned.
The MP’s strong stance has sparked a clear message to the regional leaders: Sissala West will not be shortchanged for political convenience.
