The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), led by Dr. Shaajida Shiraz, was pleased to receive the leadership of the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) at its Head Office to discuss the implementation of the No-Fees-Stress initiative for the 2025/26 academic year. The meeting aimed to finalize arrangements for the initiative, which provides academic fee support to students enrolled in tertiary institutions.

This year, the SLTF will pilot a direct-to-institutions payment model, where academic fees support for students enrolled in Colleges of Education, Health Training Institutions, and Colleges of Agriculture will be paid directly to the respective institutions. Students admitted to Public Universities and Public Technical Universities will be reimbursed in a timely manner.
The SLTF team took the opportunity to familiarize PRINCOF leaders with the No Fees Stress Portal and reminded them of the January 31st deadline for institutions to upload admission data. To minimize information mismatches, newly admitted students will only need to validate the preloaded information on the portal, streamlining the process.
The SLTF expresses gratitude to PRINCOF, Vice Chancellors Ghana, Vice Chancellors of Technical Universities Ghana, and all participating tertiary institutions for their collaboration and support. With the implementation plan in place, the SLTF looks forward to a seamless execution of the No Fees Stress Initiative for the 2025/26 academic year.
