10-year old Mohammed Awal Saani, is in urgent need of six thousand US Dollars ($6000) to undergo heart surgery after getting diagnosed with Hole in Heart setback, Home Radio 99.7 FM reports.
The Wa based class three pupil has been battling ill health for the last one year and was confirmed as having developed a hole in heart at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital after a referral from the upper west regional Hospital.
Home Radio Changing Life, a social intervention scheme run by the management of Home Radio 99.7 FM, followed up on the setback of little Mohammed Awal only to realize that the financially handicapped parents of the patient cannot shoulder the medical bills of the surgical operation.
A visit to the family house painted a picture of deject and frustration with Mohammed Awal Saani getting emotionally traumatized on daily basis.
The Home Radio Changing Life scheme shot a brief documentary about the visibly traumatized Mohammed Awal Saani but is now calling on cooperate body to help the family with support of any kind.
As seen in the graphic attached, the cost of the surgical operation is a whopping $6000, an amount the family cannot raise any time soon.
Mohammed Awal’s Auntie, Mohammed Saani Bintu, virtually wept in her attempt to explain her ordeal in the last one month spanning from Upper Regional Hospital to Korlebu Teaching.
