The Regional National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Secretariat has extended support to Wa Technical Institute in the Wa Municipality by providing essential materials for the emergency renovation of the students’ hostel. The donation, which included 3 packets of zinc and nails, aims to address the urgent need for dormitory repairs after it was ripped off sometime back.
The initiative followed an initial visit to the school by key stakeholders, including the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Issah Nura Danwanaa, and the Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Hon. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo.
The visit highlighted the pressing need for dormitory renovations to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
As a technical school, the school valued what was needed to use their expertise skill to get the dormitory repaired and habitable.
The Director of Regional NADMO, Osman Abdul-Latif Sensew, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting educational institutions in times of need. The MCE, Alhaji Issah Nura Danwanaa also reiterated his dedication to improving the school’s infrastructure and facilities.
This gesture is expected to provide relief to the students and enhance their learning experience.
