UWR: TUNGSUNG company Ltd donates 5 Apsonic motorbikes to Ghana Police Service

A construction cum Mining Company based in the Upper West Region, Tungsung Company Limited has donated five Apsonic motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tungsung Company Limited, Mr Francis Chaangnaah made the donation at a brief ceremony at the Upper West Regional Police Command on Friday, 3rd May, 2022.

The five motorbikes which are meant to improve surveillance by the Police are estimated at a cost of GHC 50,000.

For his part, the Upper West Regional Police Command, DCOP Mr. Peter Ndekugri Anumbugre commended the Company for the gesture as the motorbikes will help the Police in the discharge of their duties.

“The Police is in dire need of logistics to help combat crime, maintain peace and stability in the Municipality and the region at large.” he added.

The Upper West Regional Police Command has been grappling with resource constraints and the situation has affected their operations in responding to emergencies situations.

Over the period, the Upper West Police Command has benefited from donations from individuals and organizations to complement the efforts of the government in retooling the Service.

Aside Mining and Construction, Tungsung Company Limited is also the main distributor of ABL products across the Upper West Region as well Coca- Cola.
