STK: Hon Losina Barikisu Takes Government Policies To Grassroots, Visits Selected Youth Camps With Intensive Education
District Chief Executive officer for Sawla Tuna Kalba Hon Losina Barikisu has extended her ongoing education of constituents on government policies to some selected communities in the district.
The DCE stormed some youth groups within her constituency as part her effort to help the NPP break the traditional 8-year spell in government.
To break the 8, there is the need to spread the policies and programmes of government at the grassroots. It is for this reason that Mrs. BARIKISU LOSINA, the Hon. DCE for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, used the Yerikoi Meca Youth Association (YEMA) program, on the 19th day of February, 2022 to outline the beautiful governmental policies and programmes to the good people of the area.
The program was organized under the theme “the misconception of girl child education, the role of the youth”.
Considering the theme, the Hon. DCE informed the people about one of the major policies of government to provide laptop computers to the girl child through the Ministry of Communication.
On the importance of girl child education, she used herself, the Hon. DCE for Wa west, the Sawla District Director of education and other prominent females who are occupying various responsible positions to encourage the girl child to attain their educational goals.
She assured the people of the area the Assembly’s commitment to enforce its by-laws in order to prevent elopement in the District to ensure that female children are allowed to continue their education.
She used the opportunity to invite farmers to pick seedlings of any kind from the Assembly, as it is a governmental policy to make the country green.
Dignitaries who attended the occasion were the Hon. DCE for Wa west, Mrs. Vida Diorotey, the rep of the Hon. MP for Sawla, the District Director of Education for Sawla, Hon. Assembly Members, revered traditional authorities, NPP constituency secretary, the deputy director of STK DA, leaders of various associations and groups, the principal of CODE, management of Jaksally etc.
