Outgoing Constituency Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa Central Constituency, Ali Kamara has pledged to throw his support behind the newly elected constituency executives to succeed.
This was made known when the outgoing Constituency chairman and his team visited the Upper West Regional Minister at his residence.
Ali Kamara told the Regional Minister that he is ready to cooperate with his successor to put the party in a good position to break the eight as well as wrestle the Wa Central Constituency seat from the opposition NDC.
He held the NPP Wa Central Constituency chairmanship for twelve years and according to him, he was massively supported by others over the period adding that it is time for him to also assist others to succeed.
The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih admonished them to continue to give out their best for the party.
Ali Kamara among others was accused of sabotaging the former parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the last election.
The NPP candidate lost the Wa Central Parliamentary election by over 6000 votes and some of the party’s supporters attributed the defeat to lack of commitment from the Chairman.
The newly elected Chairman and his team used it as their trump card to dethrone the once powerful Wa Central Constituency Chairman of the NPP.
