DBI DCE donates hospital beds to health facilities

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama Bussie Issa District in the Upper West Region, Nadi Imoro Sanda has donated 15 hospital beds to some health facilities in the area.

The beds which cost GHC 80,000 were donated to Cheabaa CHPS, Fian health Center, Owlo CHPS, Daffiama Health Center, Tuori-Wogberi CHPS, Samabo CHPS, Kojokperi Health Center among others.

The initiative was financed by the district assembly through central government funds.

Donating the beds to the beneficiary communities, the District Chief Executive indicated that, the donation was necessary as if will tackle the “no bed syndrome” that has affected healthcare delivery in the district.

He said, healthy life is paramount to the people of the district and that there is a need for the assembly to make sure that the residents have access to quality healthcare.

He mentioned that, health facilities in the area have been struggling to detain patients due to inadequate beds.

According to the DCE, health care services in the district has improved tremendously under his auspices as many of the challenges has been addressed.

He pledged his commitment towards addressing the teething challenges affecting the health sector while calling for cooperation, unity and peace among the residents.

The District Director of Ghana health services, Madam Genevieve Yiripare on her part commended the district assembly through the District Chief executive Nadi Imoro Sanda for the kind gesture.

Madam Genevieve also praised some of the community members for embarking on self initiated projects while waiting for support from government, charitable organizations or individuals.

She mentioned that, the District Chief Executive earlier donated 20 beds to Issa Polyclinic which are all meant to advance health care delivery in the district.

She also appealed for more hands on desk to help improve health services for the people of Daffiama Bussie Issa District and the region at large.

Residents of the beneficiary communities thanked the District Chief executive Nadi Imoro Sanda for the enormous contribution to the growth of the health sector.
