Hafiz Bin Salih Hands Over Upper West To Stephen Yakubu, Heads To Upper East As New Regional Minister
Former Upper West Regional Minister Hon. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has officially handed over the administration of the region to Hon. Steven Yakubu as instructed by HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
The administrative swap saw Hon. Hafiz Bin Salih heading to the Upper East region as the new Regional Minister whiles the former Upper East Regional Minister Hon. Steven Yakubu takes over the Upper West Region.
This short ceremony climaxed series of activities in the past few days after the President’s announcement earlier last week.
In a statement on his official Facebook page, Hon Hafiz Bin confirmed his exit and the arrival of the new Administrative head.
“I thank you all for your support and cooperation during my tenure as Upper West Regional Minister. However, I have handed over the administration of the region to Hon. Stephen Yakubu, former Upper East Regional Minister while I take charge of the Upper East Region. May God bless, guide and protect us, Ameen”, the former Upper West Regional Minister writes.
Hon. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih broke the long standing record in the Upper West Region as the longest ever serving regional Minister, serving for nearly five years in office.
