Upper West Regional NPP Youth Organizer Hamid Saana Leads Successful Tour of Limited Voter Registration Centers

In a bid to ensure the welfare of party representatives and monitor the electoral process, Hamid Saana, the Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region, led a team of dedicated youth members on a comprehensive tour of limited voter registration centers. The objective of the tour was not only to ensure the serenity and peaceful nature of the exercise but also to guarantee that the right procedures were being followed by the hardworking Electoral Commission officials. The tour covered five constituencies, and despite a few challenges, it was marked by its success.

One of the primary goals of the tour was to monitor the limited voter registration process to ensure transparency and adherence to due processes. The team’s presence served as a reminder that the NPP is committed to upholding the principles of democracy and free and fair elections. In doing so, they aimed to instill confidence in the electoral system and promote the integrity of the entire process.

The tour encompassed five constituencies: Sissala West Constituency, Gwollu; Sissala East Constituency, Tumu; Lambussie Constituency, Nandom; and Lawra. In each of these areas, the youth organizer and his team diligently observed the ongoing processes.

While most of the limited voter registration processes proceeded smoothly, there were some challenges encountered along the way. One notable issue was the registration of minors, which raised concerns among party representatives. In response to this, Hamid Saana offered advice and guidance to the agents responsible for overseeing the registration.

Saana emphasized the importance of considering the future of those who may attempt to register as minors. He pointed out that in today’s biometric system, registering individuals who are not of the eligible voting age can have far-reaching consequences. Such actions can affect these individuals in their academic pursuits, legal cases, and job opportunities. Saana’s words underscored the NPP’s commitment to ethical and lawful electoral practices, ensuring that the registration process remains fair and just.

Despite the challenges encountered, Hamid Saana and his team successfully completed their tour of the limited voter registration centers in the Upper West Region. Their journey was marked by satisfaction and commitment as they are eager to continue their efforts on the following days, visiting other constituencies to oversee the registration process.
