DBl: Issa Zone Women Wing pay Courtesy call on Abu K. K
Women’s wing at Issa Zone in the Daffiama Bussie Issa Constituency of the Upper West Region on May 16, 2023 paid a courtesy call on Abu K K to console him and his campaign team for the just ended Parliamentary and Presidential primaries organized by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the weekend Saturday 13 May 2023.
The call according to the women, is to console and sympathize with him for the Parliamentary and Presidential primaries which he lost the elections to the incumbent member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Sabastian N Sandaare.
The leader of the group, Madam Juliana Boyong, in her address thanked God for his guidance and protection during and after the elections in the Constituency.
Madam Juliana on behalf of the women expressed their frustrations and disappointment over the recent Parliamentary and Presidential primaries in the Constituency when Hon. Abu K K loses the elections with a narrow margin to Dr. Sabastian Sandaare.
“Despite the fact that the elections did not come in their favor as they wanted but God knows best and he chooses a leader” she said.
The women Wing lauded honorable Abu K K for his generosity and support in the Constituency to empower women and children for their livelihood.
They however called on God blessings and protection for honorable Abu K K, and they believed that the almighty God will definitely fulfill his dream in future.
The women also presented Smock to him for a sign of appreciation and support from the women Wing in the Issa Zone of the Constituency.
Hon. Abu K K, in his short address, thanked the women for the kind visit and support from the women Wing in the Issa Zone.
He said despite the fact that, the elections went in different direction but he still appreciated the effort played by the women organizers at the Issa Zone during campaigns and Elections throughout.
He urged the women to be united in the zone for better future ahead other Elections in the Constituency especially Constituency Executives elections.
The honorable member however assured that, he would continue to give out his support for women in the Constituency particularly the Issa Zone.
On her part, the Constituency Woman organizer for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency Madam Mary Haruna who trained some of the women in the Issa Zone into skilled training like soap making and others funded by Hon. Abu K K.
She entreats the women to take the soap making project in the Constituency very serious for their livelihood.
