Dr Sebastian Sandaare urges the youth to embrace skill training

The Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency, Hon Sebastian Sandaare, together with the constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress, yesterday, attended the Ghana National Dress Makers Association’s annual passing out of its newly trained dress makers.

He was there to appreciate the efforts of the gallant youth who completed a skill training program in dress making with their master craftsmen.

He used the opportunity to thank the constituents especially the dress makers Association for renewing his mandate as a Member of Parliament for the constituency.

He also encouraged the youth to consider skill training very critical as it provides direct and self employment.

He called on government and philanthropists to invest in skill training to empower the youth and assured all that the Skill Development Initiative he started, which is supporting many young ladies being trained as dress makers will be expanded and sustained.

He challenged those who passed out not to relent but work very hard to make their families proud.

He also supported those who were passed out with two boxes of key soup and a cash amount of ¢GH2,200.00.

The leadership of the Association were marveled by the presence of the MP and promised to continue to support him as he work to improve the welfare of constituents.

The association successfully passed out a total number of seventeen ladies who are expected  to establish their own businesses to earn a living.
