30 Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs) Supported With GH¢ 41,100.00 From Jirapa Municipal Assembly
The Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa, Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri on Wednesday 28th July, 2022 presented a check amounting to forty-one thousand, one hundred Ghana Cedis to thirty (30) individuals under the PWDs share of the Assembly Common Fund.
This disbursement is the second trench after the current MCE assumed office as Municipal Chief Executive.
Beneficiaries are expected to use the support in the areas of Income Generation Activities, Rearing, Farming, Education and procurement of Tricycle and clippers.
At a brief engagement with beneficiaries to present their checks, Hon. Nicholas Soyiri admonished beneficiaries to use the money for the exact purpose for which they applied.
He informed beneficiaries that, officers will be visiting them after a period of time to assess the progress of their activities and offer them the needed assistance if the need be.
He thanked the Social Welfare Department and the Social Services Sub-Committee for their unbiased process in selecting beneficiaries.
The MCE concluded by giving assurance to PWDs leadership and members his commitment of making available their share of the Common Fund as and when it is ready.
