As a concerned member of the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), I strongly condemn the recent press statement made by our Constituency Organizer.
The accusations against Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, are not only baseless but also a blatant attempt to tarnish his reputation and undermine his outstanding leadership.
It’s disturbing that the Organizer failed to provide any evidence to support his claim, showcasing a lack of accountability.
This behavior is unacceptable, especially from a member of the NDC, a party that values transparency and accountability.
Having worked closely with Speaker Bagbin, I can attest to his impeccable character and commitment to serving our constituency and the nation. The Organizer’s description of some NDC members as “unqualified people” is unfortunate and divisive, contradicting the party’s principles of inclusivity and diversity.
The NDC’s slogan, “Building the Ghana we Want together,” emphasizes collective effort and cooperation. However, the Organizer’s actions seek to tear others down rather than build them up.
We serve warning that anyone in the Constituency who attacks the Speaker without provocation will be met with equal force.
We must protect and defend our leaders, especially when they’re under unjust attack.
I call on the party executives to take immediate action against the Organizer’s anti-party behavior. The NDC deserves better than leaders who engage in petty politics and character assassination.
Let’s stand united in our condemnation of the Organizer’s actions and reaffirm our commitment to transparency, accountability, and unity.
