ELECTION 2024: Foiled Attack on Prof. Titus K. Beyuo at Campaign Event in Kucha
A pro-NDC group, Volunteers for Anthony Mwinkaara Sumah (VAMS), organized a cleanup exercise at the Charekpong Health Center on Friday, August 23, 2024. The group, comprising vibrant young men and women from the Nadowli/Kaleo constituency, demonstrated their commitment to community service despite the rain.
The cleanup exercise, accompanied by brass band music, involved weeding the overgrown grass within the premises. The group also made donations to the facility, including gallons of detergents and packets of disposable gloves, to augment their stock of consumables.
Kenneth Lare, President of VAMS, stated that the group was formed to complement the good works of the MP for Nadowli/Kaleo. “We previously conducted a similar exercise at the Nadowli district hospital. We will replicate this in other areas with health centers and possibly markets.”
Brian Sotaa Seidu, Patron of VAMS, challenged the people of Charekpong to affirm their support for the MP. “You have consistently expressed your pride in having Anthony Mwinkaara Sumah as your MP. You have the opportunity to prove this on December 7th.” He pledged to donate ¢5,000 to the Charekpong branch if they achieve the 85% target for John Dramani Mahama and Anthony Mwinkaara Sumah.
The MP, who was present, addressed allegations that he had worked against the youth acquiring a community mining concession. “I have been committed to securing a license for the youth. I even provided my car for them to visit the Minerals Commission office while I took a trotro to parliament.” He assured that the NDC would grant the youth a concession upon assuming office.
The event was attended by several present and former executives, Tony Ladies, assembly members, and beneficiaries of the MP’s Skills Training Program.
