DBI MP distributes mathematical sets to BECE candidates

The Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency, Hon Sebastian Sandaare has challenged BECE candidates in his constituency to record good grades to be ranked the best-performing district in the region.

The legislator urged the students through a delegation consisting of NDC executive committee members and officials of the Ghana Education Service in the District.

The team extended to the students, a message of solidarity, hope and inspiration from the Member of Parliament.

The team also distributed mathematical sets to all the candidates and reaffirmed the commitment of the MP to investing in the education of constituents to secure their future, saying “it is the best approach to eliminating poverty in the long run”

The MP since 2017 has been helping in the preparation of candidates through sponsoring mock examinations, distribution of mathematical sets, and financial support to the directorate among others.

The Director of Education, Mr. Samson Anawine  Atogembero thanked the Member of Parliament for his numerous contributions and support to the Directorate to improve teaching and learning indicating that preparations were done already to have a smooth examination.

Records from the office of the Member Parliament indicate that he has supported about 2,000 students at different levels since 2017 and established an educational endowment fund for each traditional area and left same in the hands of the traditional authorities to manage.

This year, about 552,276 candidates from 18,501 schools Monday, October 17, start this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination in Ghana.
