The Overlord of the Wala Traditional Council, His Majesty Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, has expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Rotary Club of Wa for their outstanding contributions to the development of the Upper West Region. During a courtesy visit to the Wa Naa’s palace, the District Governor, Rotarian Nana Yaa Pokua Seriboe, and her team were commended for the club’s numerous projects focused on health, education, water, and sanitation in various communities.
The Wa Naa specifically acknowledged the Rotary Club’s ongoing construction of a kitchen for the Wa School for the Blind, describing it as a significant project that would benefit the school and its students. Through the secretary of the overlord, Jinpehe Naa Kadir Ibrahim, the Wa Naa thanked the Rotary Club for their efforts and encouraged them to continue their good work in the region.
In response, Rotarian Nana Yaa Pokua Seriboe expressed her delight at the warm reception from the Wa Naa and his chiefs. She highlighted the Rotary Club’s investments in various projects aimed at providing portable water, promoting good health, and supporting education in the Upper West Region. The District Governor’s visit to the region is part of her scheduled tour to interact with members, inspect ongoing projects, and induct new members.
During her two-day visit, Rotarian Nana Yaa Seriboe and her team met with the Upper West Regional Minister, inspected the kitchen project site at the Wa School for the Blind, and engaged with club members. The Wa Naa’s appreciation and support for the Rotary Club’s initiatives are a testament to the positive impact of their work in the region.
