31km Wa-Bulenga road will be completed in 30 months- Roads Minister

Kwesi Amoako-Atta, the Minister for Roads and Highways has revealed that the Wa-Bulenga road which is under construction will be completed and handed over in 30 months.

He made the remarks during a community engagement with the chiefs and people of Manwe in the Upper West Region.

According to him, the Wa East District has benefited from the government declaration of 2020 as year of roads because the construction of the Wa-Bulenga road that has been a nightmare is ongoing.

The road which spans over 31km was started in March this year and according to Amoako Atta, it will be completed in September 2022.

He assured that work on the road will never stall while pointing out that the department of feeder roads is undertaking the construction of three other roads to connect Wa Municipal and Wa East.

“There are other roads that are being worked on within this area to join Wa Central and Wa East.” the Minister intimated

Meanwhile, the roads minister hinted that the Ambalara and Kulung bridges that are under construction will be commissioned next month.
