Wa Central Member of Parliament Hon Dr Hassan Rashid Pelpuo has officially suspended all his campaign activities after the sudden demise of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In an emotional message posted by the Wa Central MP, Hon Dr Hassan Rashid Pelpuo commiserated with the family of the late President whiles describing the sad incident as shocking.
Ghanaians were shocked to the marrow in the early hours of Thursday with viral news on the death of the country’s most loved president.
The news have since set social media agog with many tributes already flooding the media limelight in the last few hours.
Hon Dr Hassan Rashid Pelpuo, an NDC stalwart and the Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency, joined the masses with an emotional message caped with the suspension of all party campaigns at the constituency level.
“We just heard the sad news of the shocking demise of Former President Flt Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings, Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Whiles we wait for any official directive from the NDC we in the Wa Central Constituency have decided to suspend any political activity untill further notice.

Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings led Ghana from 1979 up to 2000. He was 73 years of age as at the time of his demise.
