Wa Central Member of Parliament Hon Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo has emerged as the best Muslim MP for the 2019/20 time frame.
The highly revered legislature shook off competition from a host of other world class Muslim MPs to be crowned the best under the Ghana Muslim Broadcast Journalist Association.
Hon Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo, who defended his seat at the just ended parliamentary race at the Wa Central level, has left an imprint as political icon, accepting criticisms from varied people.
His recent award joins other global recognitions conferred on him in a glittering political career spanning over two decades.
Celebrating the award, the Wa Central MP took to his social media handles to update his teaming fan base.
“I won the best Muslim Member of Parliament Award 2019 – 2020. Award by Ghana Muslims Broadcast Journalist Association presented on the 28th November 2020 in Accra under the auspices of the National Chief Imam”, Hon Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo confirmed on his social media handles.
University for Development Studies (UDS), joined the celebration with their own message for Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo.

An expected keen contest between Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo ended up with a jaw dropping 6000 plus winning margin for the incumbent MP at the Wa Central Constituency.
The Royal born law maker replaced Alhaji Mahama Abudu Seidu as the Wa Central MP in 2004 and have since maintained his seat for the last 16 years.
