Visually Impaired Teacher Appeals To Government For Posting

A visually impaired teacher based in the upper west region has called on government to post him after his latest snub.

Dassah Eric Lonko, a graduate from University of Education, Winneba, pleaded with Home Radio Changing Life platform to help him get posted.

In an emotional message to Home Radio’s Saani Abacha on his predicament, Eric Lonko cited how missing out on the latest batch of teacher posting program affected him as a person.

“I am not like my colleagues out there because of my sight issues as a person. I did my National Service as expected and applied for the postings having passed the licenser examinations. I just hope someone out there listens to me and extend that help. Attached are my documents to support whoever willing to help me”, Eric Lonko told Home Radio Changing life team.


The visually impaired teacher, who is currently on voluntary service with the Wa School for the Blind mention his current post as his preferred destination if he is asked.

“I am currently helping the students of school for the Blind and will like to be officially placed there if consulted. I can teacher Social Studies and wouldn’t mind going to another school like the Wa SHS”, Mr Eric Lonko added.
