We Can Create Sustainable Employment Opportunities through Digital Media Growth- CEO of Yison Tech Hub
The Chief Executive Officer of budding IT firm, Yison Tech Hub, Mr. Issahaque Serikpere Naa has called on entrepreneurs to see digital media as a pathway to creating sustainable employment opportunities.
Yison Tech Hub in Partnership with Ghana Tech Lab on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 held a stakeholder engagement on the role of digital media on the local economy in an attempt to solve the unemployment situation in communities.
The theme of the program was “The role of Digital Media in Transforming the Local Economic Development”.
Participants were enjoined to outline the challenges, opportunities, strategies, and policies for transforming the local economy to achieve sustainable development through digital media skills and entrepreneurship.
According to Mr Issahaque, the outcome of the meeting was to form a policy document that will feed into the curriculum of the next digital skills training and business incubation program.
Yison Tech Hub is currently training 30 young people on web development in a 3 month long program.
The CEO reveals that enrollment into the program is free while explaining that trainees will be offered employment opportunities after the training.
