UWR: Juvenile League Commences On 9th May

The wait is over and the much anticipated juvenile league is set to commence on Sunday, 9th May 2021 at the Wa Sports Stadium.

 

The juvenile league is grouped into two Zones thus Wa Municipal Zone and Tumu Zone and consist of 16 and 8 clubs respectively.

The 24 clubs have gone through various stages of screening ranging from the U-13, U-15 and U-17. The screening exercise took the planning committee two days to finish the exercise which started on Friday 8th May and ended on Saturday 9th May at 10:30am.

Speaking on the final whistle on Home Radio 99.7fm, the Juvenile League Regional Chairman, Mr. Abu Iddris Polibu stated that “All is set for the commencement of the 2021 upper west regional Juvenile League on sunday. Screening and match fixtures have been done and hopefully we will meet at the Wa Sports Stadium tomorrow for the first-round of games”.

All matches will be play on weekends, two games in the morning and evening respectively and the basic Covid-19 protocols must be adhered strictly.

Vice-Chairman of the National U-15 Management Committee, Mr. Arif Daud calls on football lovers to patronize the league and promised to use his office to help their football journey.
