Transfer News:  Former English Premier League Star Set For Dream Switch To Asante Kotoko SC

Followers of Asante Kotoko SC are set to welcome one of the most celebrated footballers in the 21st century with the imminent arrival of former Premier League star to the club.

Described by many as arguably the biggest club in West Africa in terms of support base and local dominance, Asante Kotoko SC appeared to have enticed this celebrated icon into confession his childhood dreams targeted at wearing the famous red jersey.

With the first registration window for the 2021/22 domestic transfer window officially closed on Saturday October 23, 2021, former Sunderland striker, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed his lifelong dream of playing for Asante Kotoko SC before hanging his boots.

Speaking on varied range of topics on his career, the Ghanaian legend did not mince words in confession his love for Asante Kotoko SC and how he will be emotionally satisfied should he even wear the jersey for one day.

“Anything is possible. It(Asante Kotoko SC) is my childhood club and even if I wear the jersey for just a day, I would be glad but I’ve to look at the body and my health first, and if it’s Kotoko or any other club, it will be fine but the most important thing is for me to be fit and ready again to play”, Asamoah Gyan told Linsford Kwabena Asare popularly known as Otwinoko on Youtube.

The former Sunderland striker eased his way into legendary status as the most prolific player from the African continent to have played at the FIFA World cup and is Ghana’s all time top scorer from over 100 international appearances.

He has also participated and scored in 10 successive tournaments as a footballer, a feat he shares with only Cristiano Ronaldo.
