By Adil Fuseini

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Chairman in the Upper West Region, S.B Kangberee has made damning remarks about MMDCE’s in the region, saying they are not helpful to the party.

Mr SB Kangberee made these remarks at the party’s regional annual delegates conference held on Saturday, 2nd October 2021 at Wa Technical Institute in Wa.

The looked disappointed Chairman, kept his words as part of his welcome address to party members at the conference.

Mr Kangberee while congratulating the newly nominated MMDCE’s said, “I must add that, you the MMDCE’s have not been financial and logistical helpful to the party”.

“I don’t remember any of you who stretched a helping hand by way of finance or logistics when the party (NPP) is in a dire state ” – Kangberee indicated.

He further reminded the MMDCE’s to work to retain the NPP in power.

“You seem to have forgotten that, it is the victory of the party which created the vacancy for you to occupy today. You seem not to care and indeed want to bite the finger that fed you” he added.

Mr Kangberee was however optimistic that the MMDCE’s would change to better the fortunes of the NPP in the region.

He said, “hopefully with the new dispensation and the fact we believe that you have learnt your lessons, I believe there will be a new change from now onwards”.

The Upper West Regional Annual Delegates Conference was attended by many party members including national executive such as General Secretary, John Boadu, National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, National Treasurer, Mr. Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah, National 1st Vice Chairman, Rita Asobayere, Former Energy Minister, Boakye Ayarko, Prof. Armeyaw Ekumfi and many others.
