Official: Hon Hafiz Bin Salih To Swear In Eight Confirmed MMDCES On Wednesday

Upper West Regional Minister Hon Hafiz Bin Salih is set to swear in the first badge of confirmed MMDCEs across the region on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

The region’s administrative leader led a team of government throughout a hectic confirmation process that saw eight appointees sailing through at the first time whiles three others were rejected on various count.

Lawra and Jirapa Municipality were joined by Wa West District in a surprise voting pattern from the affected Assemblies.

Hon Bukari Ali, who was nominated for the Wa West DCE position, failed to get automatic confirmation with 15 out of the 41 valid votes cast endorsing as against 26 members rejecting his bid.

Hon Martin Bonba-ire of Lawra and Madam Christine Bonbanye both failed at the second time of getting confirmed by the Assembly to leave the region 8 confirmed MMDCEs for Wednesday’s swearing in.

Dr Suleiman Ewurah Kandia-Wa East District Chief Executive

Nero Raymond- Nandom

George Naluri- lambussie Karni District Chief Executive Officer

Hon Yakubu Batong Fuseini- Sissala East

Hon Ayisha Batong Hor-Sissala West

Issahaque Tahiru Moomin- Wa Municipal Assembly.

A new date will be announced for the confirmation programme of the remaining three appointees after the confirmed eight MMDCEs are sworn in.
