Wa Central: MP Fixes Borehole To Reduce Water Crisis in Chokor

The Member of Parliament for the Central Constituency in the Upper West Region, Dr Rashid Pelpuo, has fixed some boreholes to reduce the water crisis in some parts of the constituency.

The MP fixed the broken borehole in chokor, a suburb of Wa in the Kambali Electoral Area to help reduce the water crisis of the area.

The breakdown of the only borehole in the area, constructed in 2016 has led to significant water crises in the community.

Residents made a plea for support which have been headed to by the MP.

Peter Salia, former Assembly Member for Kambali Electoral Area, on behalf of residents thanked the Member of Parliament, Dr Rashid Pelpuo for his intervention.

Residents, however, called on the Member of Parliament and the Government to come to their aid in merchandising the borehole and adding more boreholes to improve access to potable water in the area.

They also called on the Government and the MP to construct access roads in the area, as well as a health facility.

Mr Mohammed Mummuni Tando, Communications Officer of the NDC Wa Central, who spoke on behalf of the Member of Parliament indicated that the MP is on course to continue his work to make life comfortable for the people of Wa Central and Chokor can not be left out.

He, therefore, assured them of the MPs readiness to support them in due course.
