Security is the most important service rendered by the Gov’t- Albert Kan-Dapaah

Albert Kan-Dapaah, the Minister for National Security has considered security as the most crucial of all the services provided to Ghanaians.
According to him, Ghanaians will not feel safe carrying out their activities if there is a lack of security and peace.
He made this known on Friday, October 21, 2022 when he paid a one-day working visit to the Upper West Region to present logistics to the security and intelligence officers to enhance visibility.
Albert Kan-Dapaah presented 20 motorbikes to the police service, 15 motorbikes to the military, 10 motorbikes to the immigration service as well as one pickup vehicle each to the three security agencies.
The Ministry of National Security exists to formulate, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of security and intelligence policies through the deployment of skilled human resources and modern technology for stakeholders to enhance security, freedom of the citizenry, and national development.
Security in the Upper West Region appears to be under threat after several persons were abducted or killed in bizarre circumstances.
The need to retool the security services has become even more necessary following a spate of terrorist attacks in neighboring countries and lingering political tensions in the sub-region.
On the back of this, the Ministry of National Security, under the leadership of Albert Kan-Dapaah, saw the need to retool the security architecture to increase visibility in the Upper West Region.
Addressing the security and intelligence officers at the forecourt of the Upper West Regional Co-ordinating Council, the Minister for National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah said Ghana is globally renowned as one of the peaceful countries due to the efficacy of the security agencies.
He added the National Security Ministry is widely considered to be responsible for the stability or otherwise of the country which calls for a need to complement the efforts of the Interior and Defense Ministry.
The Upper West Region was in the news for bad reasons but according to the Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, normalcy has been restored through the intervention of the security forces.
He was optimistic that the logistics will be used by the security and intelligence agencies to maintain peace and order in the region.
