DAYS OF LEAKED NUDITY IN MY CHIEFDOM, FALLING MORAL STANDARDS

Our society is suffering from moral deficiencies these days and the lack of moral values amongst the youth of today is spreading more wildly than Coronavirus pandemic.

Moral values are the standards by which we define right and wrong. They can come from the self, family, community, religion, government, or any other entity that influences the thoughts of the individual.

We maybe tempted to blame our schools, we may be tempted to blame our religious leadership or faith base organizations, we maybe tempted to blame our peers, we maybe tempted to blame our governments but the primary source of good moral integrity is the family and if it’s lacking, those actors responsible for giving children a good Home should be checked.

The family is the foundation or base for the upbringing of a child and if our foundation is weak, it will certainly and definitely fall or face destruction with the slightest of disturbance.

Moral values are the concrete and pavement works that every family is supposed to instill into h/her ward to make h/her strong mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically to enable the child stand against any temptations to go wayward or become deviant and if these materials are lacking both in quantity and in quality, we have already sown the viable seeds of failed moral standards.

Suffice to say that, each of these arms has a role to play in the proper upbringing of the child but do we agree that, our various houses are built on strong foundations such that even when it’s raining or there is storm, we find it appropriate to run into these houses to avoid been beaten by these torrential rains and storms because we have confidence that these houses can stand the rains and storms and will not fall or face destruction.

All the vices we are witnessing today are just mere disturbances that have been able to have their way into our children who had none or very weak morally foundations.

The responsibility of raising children with good moral standards starts with the Home and if we continue to overlook that, we will continue to put the blame on the wrong hands.
