GODFRED SEIDU JASAW (MP) DONATES TO THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IN WA EAST

The member of parliament for Wa East constituency, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has donated food items to his christian constituents at separate occasions in the constituency. The food items include bags of rice and cartons of cooking oil. The legislator started the day at Kpagilahi where he made a donation of bags of rice and cooking oil to thirteen Christian communities within the Kpagilahi enclave. Addressing the people, the MP told them his resolve to work in the interest of everybody in the constituency. Being mindful of the demographic and religious composition of the constituency, he deemed it proper to join the Christian communities in the constituency in the celebration of this year’s christmas. He advised them to celebrate in moderation while praying and thanking God for His guidance and protection over the years.


The MP’s next stop was Loggu where, he made similar donations to eight other Christian communities to help in this year’s Christmas celebration. He told them, he was aware they have enough to celebrate the Christmas but it has always been his wish to contribute something towards the festive season.
He also donated local dance called jazz to the people of loggu.


At Tambileepuo in the Kulkpong enclave, the MP made a similar donations to twelve Christian communities. The MP told the gathering to see each other as one, despite their religious differences. He made them aware of the importance he attached to all religious groupings in the constituency and will do everything possible to ensure co-existence among them. The legislator made similar donations to Chaggu-paala, Jonfian and Talawonaa within Chaggu enclave as well as Viaha and Jankore within Manwe enclave.


In all these separate occasions, the beneficiary communities were thankful to the MP for remembering them in this festive season. They couldn’t not hide their joy since it is an honour they never dreamt of. One remarked ”no politician in the history of Wa East has ever thought of the Christians in any celebration”.They were short of words to show appreciations to the MP but can only assure him that, his good works will surely speak for him in the near future. They were appreciative of his exploits in parliament and his efforts to bring development to the constituency and admonished him to be focused since they are solidly behind.
