Nadowli-Kaleo MP Empowers Constituents

Member of Parliament for the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency Hon. Anthony Sumah has launched a skills development program to financially emancipate his constituents.

The program which was launched at Nadowli, the District Capital, had in attendance, the District Chief Executive and several stakeholders from the Constituency.

The MP, as part of the scheme, has set aside huge funds , to engage One Hundred and Fifty five (155) people into skills training.

The selected areas include welding and fabrication, tailoring and dress making, weaving and hair dressing.

The MP also went ahead to launch a one hundred thousand GHC100, 000.00 scholarship scheme for students.

‘The cost of training is fully paid for by the MP’, he said.

Hon Anthony Sumah has redeemed this as a major promise and also went ahead to state his willingness to continuously contribute to the development of the constituency.

The District Chief Executive, Hon Catherine Lankono, welcome the intervention from the MP and indicated that it will go a long way to aid poverty alleviation in the District.

She said the Assembly would do it part to support the MP with laudable interventions such as this.
