President Akufo Addo’s DCE nominee for Jirapa Constituency, Christine Bombanye Amadu has been rejected in her reconfirmation.
The retained nominee had 31 YES votes representing 59.6% which did not meet the confirmation rule of two-thirds of the total number of assembly members.
The NO votes were 20 representing 38.46% of the total number of assembly members.
The results in the first confirmation is not different from the later as the YES votes remained 31 while the No votes reduced to 20 with one rejected vote after the reconfirmation.
She was expected to garner 67% of the total votes translating to 35 YES votes but she fell short with 4 votes to be rejected.
