Sissala West: NPP’s Constituency Nasara Coordinator Attacked by Party Thugs in Gwollu

The Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Musah Walaika Iddrisu is reported to have been attacked by some party thugs on the evening of April 18th, 2022.

The incident took place in Gwollu, the Sissala West District Capital of the Upper West Region.

Mr Musah Walaika was butchered by a group of young men suspected members of the NPP, who attacked him with cutlasses while he was unarmed.

Mr Walaika was going home from his base through the Gwollu hospital junction when the thugs pounded on him along the route.

Mr Musah Walaika Iddrisu is currently receiving treatment at Wa Regional Hospital.

Mr Walaika has previously been attacked at fatchu, a community in the Sissala West District during the building of the polling station album for the upcoming constituency elections.

Two persons Ali Yakubu and Amadu Laminu are reported to have been arrested to assist the Ghana Police Service in the investigation of the attacks.

Musah Walaika Iddrisu has been the Nasara Coordinator of the NPP in the Sissala West Constituency since 2009 and is seeking retention in the upcoming NPP constituency executive elections.
