Afigya Sekyere East Constituency Election: Barima Sarpong Wishes Aspirants Well

Fellow constituents and kukrudites, I write with warm greetings of love and peace in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Pursuant to the provisions in the constitution of our great elephant family, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and in accordance with democratic principles we are making a decision today as to who will steer the affairs of Afigya Sekyere East constituency NPP for the next four years.

In so doing, we must be mindful of the uniqueness of our constituency. We produce and present the best of our sons and daughters.

Afigya Sekyere East is the constituency of the late Lawyer Victor Owusu, one time Attorney General and presidential candidate in the 1979 general election of the republic of Ghana. It is also the constituency of the famous Hon Kwadwo Okyere Mpiani, a former Member of the Parliament of the 3rd Republic, former Minister for Presidential Affairs and former Chief of Staff under President Kufuor’s government. Afigya Sekyere East is again the constituency of Hon Akosua Frema Osei Opare, a former member of parliament under the 4th Republic and the current Chief of Staff under President Akufo Addo’s administration.

We therefore cannot disappoint Afigya Sekyere East Constituency. We must necessarily elect and present our best this time as well.

I wish all aspirants well. May the event today be fair and peaceful, and may Afigya Sekyere East Constituency come out greater and more united than ever before.
