UWR: Kalasco Textiles Foundation Donates to Weavers

A non-profit organisation based in Wa, Kalasco Textiles foundation has donated sanitary pads, and soaps to some textile weavers in Wa.

The donation was made to the apprentice weavers at Kalasco Weaving Centre.

Three boxes of bar soap, and two boxes of sanitary pads, were shared among the 29 apprentices at the weaving centre.

Founder and CEO of Kalasco Textiles Foundation, Mr Kala Osman said the donation is to encourage young men in the textiles weaving industry to perform their jobs very well.

He added that ” soap and sanitary pads are everyday needs of our sisters and we have brought it to them knowing that some have difficulties in getting them. With this, I believe it will reduce the burden on them at least in acquiring pads and soaps.

Mr Kala Osman further appeals to individuals to make such support available to women in training for jobs.

One of the beneficiaries, Muniratu Osman thanked the Kalasco Textiles Foundation for the support and appealed for more support.

“We have challenges in our training because we are learning we don’t have enough money to do some things and with this, we are grateful,” she said.
